I am Haris Dimitriadis. I was born in Greece and studied Mathematics at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki as well as Economics at the London School of Economics. My professional career spanned the business and banking industries, and I have now settled into retirement. Climbing the corporate ladder, I found it brought little peace of mind, and I turned my attention to the philosophy of Epicurus. I have devoted the last fifteen years of my life to studying, reconstructing, and practicing ancient Epicurean philosophy. Stunned by its effectiveness I endeavor, through my book, to disseminate this healing philosophy to the world in harmony with Epicurus’ aspiration.  Currently, I live in Athens with my family and friends, having a pleasant life with peace of mind, free from the anxieties and fears that the traditional philosophies of material welfare and religious faith promote.
